Free link shortener
Paste a long URL, choose a custom short name if you like, and get a short link with a QR code. Each address is checked for malware and phishing before the link is made. A free account is needed to make a link, and links do not expire.
How it works
- 01
Paste your link
Paste a web address that starts with http or https. If you leave the scheme out, https:// is added for you. You can also choose a short name for the end of the link.
- 02
Sign in once
A free account is needed to make a link. Your form is kept while you sign in, and the link is made when you come back.
- 03
Copy the link or the QR code
Copy the short link or download its QR code as an SVG. Your links stay on this page with their clicks, and each one has an on and off switch.
What you get
- Every address is checked for malware and phishing before the link is made.
- Choose the end of the link, such as spring-sale, or let one be made for you.
- Download a QR code for any link as an SVG.
- Links do not expire, and each one shows how many times it was opened.
Frequently asked questions
Is the link shortener free?
Yes. It costs nothing. You need a free account to make a link, and your form is kept while you sign in.
Do the short links expire?
No. A link works until you turn it off, or until you delete your account. You can turn any of your links off and on again from this page.
Which links are refused?
Links that are not public web addresses, links to other link shorteners, direct downloads of programs, and sites flagged for malware or phishing. The address is checked before the link is made.
How many links can I make, and can I change one later?
Up to 20 an hour and 50 a day. You cannot change where a link points, but you can turn it off and make a new one.
