Instagram carousel splitter
Drop one wide image, choose how many slides you want, and the tool cuts it into equal slides. Post them in order and the picture continues as you swipe. You can make up to 10 slides.
How it works
- 01
Drop your image
Pick the image you want to spread over several slides. A wide image works best, because every slide is one section of it.
- 02
Choose slides and shape
Pick 2 to 10 slides and a slide shape of 1:1, 4:5 or 3:4. The preview shows where the cuts fall.
- 03
Download the slides
Download each slide on its own, or all of them in one ZIP, numbered in order. A JPEG stays a JPEG, and any other image is saved as a PNG.
What you get
- Cuts one image into 2 to 10 equal slides, numbered in the order to post them.
- Keeps the middle of your image and fits the slide shape you pick, 1:1, 4:5 or 3:4.
- Downloads each slide on its own, or all of them together as a ZIP.
- Free, no signup, and your image is opened in your browser, so nothing you upload is sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
How do I post the slides so they line up?
Post them as one carousel in the order of their numbers, slide 1 first. Each slide is a section of the same image, so the picture continues as you swipe.
Why are the edges of my image cut off?
Every slide has the same size and shape, so the tool uses the largest centred area of your image that fits all the slides side by side. What does not fit is trimmed equally from both sides, or from the top and bottom. A few pixels at the sides can also be trimmed so that every slide comes out the same width.
Does the tool resize my image?
No. Slides are cut from your image at its own resolution, without resizing it. A JPEG is saved as a JPEG, which compresses it again. Any other image is saved as a PNG, which keeps its transparency. An animated image gives its first frame only.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is opened and cut in your browser, and nothing you upload is sent to a server. If your browser cannot open a very large image, you will see a message instead.
