Check a video against our rubric

Point the extension at a video and it reads it against our rubric: a number out of 100, every part scored, and the three changes that would lift it most.

Step by step
  1. 1

    Right-click the video

On a video, a page or a link, open the right-click menu and choose Check this video. You can also press the toolbar button and pick Check this video for the tab you are on. It reads TikTok, YouTube and Instagram video pages, and what it sends is the address of the page, never the video file.

  2. 2

    Check the price, then press

The button reads Check it and names the 3 credits it will spend. The price is quoted before anything runs, and nothing is spent until you press. Videos up to 3 minutes. A run that breaks down part way is charged for the part that read.

  3. 3

    Read the score

The reading opens on the total out of 100, then each part with its own score and its maximum: Opening, Holding attention, Payoff, Picture and sound, and Worth passing on.

  4. 4

See the three fixes worth most

Under the parts sit the three changes that would lift the score most, then It passed and It missed, each a plain line about the video in front of you.

  5. 5

    Make a better one

Make a better one takes you back to what this brand can make, where both ways to make a video stand side by side.

Post from the page you are on

Add the extension, pick a brand, and the tab you have open becomes a post, a video ad or an animated video.
