Make an Animated Promo Video From a Link, an Idea or a Clip
In this article

You can now make an animated promo video in SocialFaktory from something you already have: a link to your site, a brief with your own clips and images, or a video you love. The line is called Animated video, it is live today, and it ends the way every line on the floor ends: a finished video in your library, ready to schedule.

A real render from the live product, made with Like a video you love: a brief, a post, a carousel, an AI presenter, six channels and an end card, in 15 seconds.

What is Animated video?

It is motion graphics made for your brand: kinetic type, cards, screenshots and your logo, moving in your colors and cut to music. No presenter has to film anything and nobody opens a timeline. You pick where it starts, how long it runs, the aspect ratio and the music, then you confirm the price. The Animated video page has the full list of what it does.

Every render comes in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, so one brief can cover a Reel, a feed post or a YouTube upload. The finished video waits in your library until you schedule it.

What are the three ways to start?

  1. From a link. Paste your site and get a launch or promo video in your brand colors, with your logo and screenshots, at 15, 30 or 45 seconds.
  2. From your idea & media. Write a brief and add up to 20 of your own videos and images. The whole motion video is written around them and runs 5 to 90 seconds.
  3. Like a video you love. Paste a TikTok, Instagram, X or YouTube link, or upload a video. It studies the pacing, type, motion and layout, then makes the same kind of video for your brand.

All three start on the create page. Pick Animated video, then pick the start that matches what you have in hand.

Say you run a coffee brand and you are launching a cold brew. Paste yourbrand.com into the link field. The page is read for what matters on screen: the product name, the headline claim, the brand colors, the logo and a few screenshots worth showing.

Choose 15 seconds for a teaser, 30 for a proper promo or 45 when the page has more to say. Pick 9:16 for Reels and TikTok. Choose a track, or leave it silent. The price appears before anything runs: a 15 second link video is 34 credits. Confirm, and a few minutes later the video is in your library.

This is the fastest start because the site already holds the brief. If the page is clear, the video will be clear.

What changes when you start from your idea and media?

You write the brief instead of pointing at a page. One line works: "Launch our summer cold brew, show the can, end on the price." Then add what you have: product shots, a short clip of the pour, a screenshot of the order page. You can add up to 20 files.

The script, the scenes and the order are written around your files, so your real product stays on screen instead of a stock stand-in. Set any length from 5 to 90 seconds. This is the start for a product drop, an event or anything a website does not explain yet.

How does Like a video you love avoid copying it?

Everyone has a video they wish they had made. Paste its link, or upload the file. The reference is studied for four things: pacing, type, motion and layout. How long each beat holds, how big the words are, how cards enter and leave, where things sit in the frame.

Then a new video is made for your brand in that style. Logos, faces and text from the reference are never carried over. Your logo, your words and your colors go in their place. The result feels like the video you love without being a copy of it.

How do you choose the music?

Three options. Pick a track from the built-in library, and play it first so you know what you are choosing. Upload your own mp3, wav or m4a if the brand has a sound. Or choose none and add audio later.

With music on, scenes are cut to the beat: a card lands on the kick, a word changes on the snare. That timing is most of what makes motion graphics feel finished rather than assembled.

Which one is real?

Look at the video at the top of this post again. It shows a brief being typed, a social post, a three page carousel, an AI presenter and six channels lighting up. Which of those is real? Each one is a format SocialFaktory ships, so every claim in it holds. None of it was filmed or screen recorded. The 15 seconds were animated from a reference video's pacing, with the brand kit dropped in, on the live product.

That is the job of this line: it draws the product, the offer or the idea, so nobody has to film it.

Can the assistant or an agent make one?

Yes. Ask the AI assistant in chat for an animated video. It asks for any media it is missing, plays music previews right in the chat and quotes the price before it renders. If you run your own agent, the MCP server exposes the same line, so an agent can quote and make one too.

What does it cost, and what if a render fails?

A video from your link is 34 credits for 15 s, 41 for 30 s and 49 for 45 s, including the site capture, device renders and art-director pass. Custom videos, from an idea or from a video you love, run from 13 credits at 5 s to 55 at 90 s, and a 30 second one is 25 credits. You always see the price before you confirm. If a render fails, the credits are refunded in full.

Where does it fit next to video cloning?

Video cloning recasts a filmed video with your presenter and your product. Animated video makes motion graphics: type, cards and screens. If the video you love is a person talking to camera, clone it. If it is words and shapes moving to a beat, animate it.

How do you make your first one?

Open the create page, pick Animated video and start with your own site. It is the quickest way to see what the line does with your brand. Start your brand if you do not have an account yet.

In one sentence: Paste your site, a brief with your own media or a video you love, pick a ratio and a track, and SocialFaktory makes an animated promo video in your brand, cut to the beat.
