Paste a long text and get it back as a thread for X (Twitter). Posts are cut to fit the 280 character limit, counted the way X counts, between paragraphs, sentences and words. A word or link too long for one post is flagged.

## How it works

1. **Paste your text**: Drop in an article, a draft or a list of ideas. To start a new post on purpose, put three dashes on a line of their own.
2. **Choose the numbering**: Turn numbering on to end each post with a counter like 1/5. The counter is counted in the length of its post.
3. **Copy the posts**: Copy each post on its own, or the whole thread at once, then post them one after the other on X.

### Where does it cut my text?

At a paragraph break when it can, then at the end of a sentence, then at a line break, then between words. It does not cut inside a word, a link, a mention, a hashtag or an emoji.

### What happens to a word that is longer than a post?

It cannot be cut without breaking it, so it gets a post of its own and is marked as over the limit. Shorten or rewrite that part.

### Is my text stored anywhere?

No. The thread is built in your browser as you type. Nothing you type is sent to a server, and nothing is saved.
