Social media tool affiliate programs are unusually generous, because schedulers renew every month and the companies know it. The catch is that the headline rate hides three other numbers: how long the commission runs, how long the cookie lasts, and how much you have to accumulate before anyone pays you. Every program below was read from its own page on 22 September 2026 and is linked so you can check it.

## Which ones pay for longer than the first month?

Nearly all of them, which is what makes this category worth an affiliate's time. Hootsuite is the outlier: 20% of first month revenue and nothing after, against a long 90 day cookie. Tailwind pays a bounty rather than a share.

At the other end, SocialBee and Sendible keep paying for as long as the customer stays, with no stated end. Metricool keeps paying too, but only up to a cap per user, which is a different thing and the next section explains why.

## What is the catch in a capped commission?

A cap turns a recurring program into a bounty with extra steps. Metricool pays 25% at the first tier, but no more than $100 from any one user. On a subscription of around $20 a month, 25% is roughly $5, so the cap is reached in about twenty months and then that user pays you nothing further. The 50% partner tier caps at $300. It is still a good program, especially with a cookie that never expires, but "recurring" and "recurring up to a cap" are not the same promise.

Publer's structure is the mirror image: a large 50% slice of the first monthly payment, then 20% on renewals, rising to 70% and 30% for ambassadors selling more than $1,000 a month. Front loaded, with a short 30 day window to convert the click.

## How high are the payout minimums?

This is the number that decides whether a small audience ever sees money. ContentStudio requires a $200 balance and at least two active referrals. Metricool requires $200. Publer requires $20 and pays on the first of the month. SocialFaktory requires $25.

On a 30% commission, a $25 minimum means one referral on the $99 Brand plan earns $29.70 in its first month, past the bar, and the payout follows once its 30 day hold clears. On a $200 minimum at 25% of a $20 subscription, you need roughly forty user-months of commission before a single payout. Neither is unfair; they just suit different audiences.

## Where does SocialFaktory sit?

Squarely in the middle on rate, at the long end on window, and at the low end on the bar to get paid:

- **30% of every monthly payment for 12 months**, credit top-ups included, and 20% on yearly plans.
- **60 day cookie**, last link clicked, saved once at signup and never applied to an existing account.
- **$25 payout minimum**, paid monthly by bank transfer to a verified payout account, or in credits at 150% of face value where transfers are not supported.
- **200 welcome credits** for the person who signs up through your link, on their first payment.
- **Opening soon** to any registered account, on any of the [Starter, Brand and Agency plans](/plans) or none of them.

We are not the highest number in the table. Publer's first payment is bigger and Metricool's partner tier is a higher percentage. What the program will have is a full year of commission, a low payout bar, and a gift the reader actually receives, which is a better sentence to write than a rate nobody can see.

## Which program fits which audience?

- **You teach small businesses to post consistently.** A scheduler with a long window and a low minimum pays best, because your referrals are small accounts that stay for years.
- **You sell to agencies.** Look for tiers. ContentStudio, Vista Social and Sendible all pay more once you pass a referral count, and agency seats are larger payments.
- **You make video for creators.** Tools that produce content, not just schedule it, convert better on video, because you can show the before and after. That is the part of SocialFaktory worth filming: the [AI assistant](/features/ai-assistant), the [video cloning](/features/video-cloning) and then the [calendar](/features/content-calendar) that publishes the result.
- **You have one-off viral traffic.** Take the bounty. Tailwind's per referral payment or Hootsuite's first month will beat a recurring share you never get to compound.

## How should you disclose these links?

Every program here requires disclosure, and so do the platforms you post on. Plain words, next to the link, before the click. If you publish a table like the one above, say in the same paragraph which rows are affiliate links and which are not. Readers forgive the commission; they do not forgive finding out about it later.

## Where should you start?

Start with the tool your audience already asks you about, then read its four numbers. The full AI tool set is in [best AI affiliate programs in 2026](/blog/best-ai-affiliate-programs), the stacking math behind a 12 month window is in [recurring commission affiliate programs vs one-time](/blog/recurring-commission-affiliate-programs), and the SocialFaktory terms are at [/affiliates](/affiliates).

**In one sentence:** Social media tool affiliate programs mostly pay on renewals, so compare the window, the cookie and the payout minimum alongside the rate before you pick one to promote.
