# Extend a Video: 10 More Seconds, Same Presenter

Every generated clip ends somewhere. Sometimes it ends 10 seconds too early: the presenter lands the point, and the next beat is missing. Until now the fix was a second render from a second brief, a presenter who did not quite match, and a cut you had to hide. Now the fix is one button.

## Where it lives

Open a video in the editor. Select a generated clip on the timeline and press **Extend this video**. Describe what happens next, or press **Just continue** and let the factory decide. That is the whole input.

## What the factory does

It keeps the same presenter, the same setting and the same voice. It reads the last 3 seconds of your clip as the seam reference, renders a 10-second continuation that picks up where the clip stops, and merges the two into one longer video. No second presenter, no jump cut at the join.

## While it renders

The clip is highlighted and locked on the timeline, so nothing moves under it. The bar tells you what it is doing and how long it usually takes: about 8 minutes. Switch to another tab and the browser tells you when it is ready.

## Replace or discard

When the extension lands, you preview the seam and choose. **Replace** puts the longer clip where the original was: the clips after it shift by the seconds you added, and the scene grows to fit. **Discard** throws the extension away and leaves the timeline exactly as it was. Nothing changes until you choose.

## Extend again

An extended clip is still a clip. Select it and extend it again. There is no cap on how many times you extend. A 10-second answer becomes a 20-second explanation, then a 30-second walkthrough, 10 seconds at a time, the same presenter every time.

## What it costs

Each extension costs the credits of one 10-second render, whatever the length of the clip you start from. Extending a 40-second clip costs the same as extending a 10-second one. If the render fails, the credits come back automatically, like every other failed generation.

On the editor timeline, on clips the factory generated. Pick the clip, press the button, keep working on the rest of the video while the line runs.

### Will the extension match the original clip?

Yes. The factory keeps the same presenter, setting and voice, and uses the last 3 seconds of your clip as the reference for the join. You preview the seam before you replace anything.

### How many times can I extend a clip?

As many times as you want. An extended clip can be extended again, 10 seconds per pass, and each pass costs the credits of one 10-second render.

### What happens to the rest of my timeline?

Nothing until you press Replace. Then the clips after the extended one shift by the seconds you added and the scene grows to fit. Press Discard and the timeline stays exactly as it was.
